Skybrook is one of the larger master-planned communities in north Huntersville, built around the Skybrook Golf Club. The neighborhood spans a meaningful footprint with multiple sub-pockets, several pools, and an active member base, which gives it a distinct social fabric compared to the more compact subdivisions to the south. Homes here run larger than the Huntersville median and the lot sizes match.
Housing stock dates mostly from the late 1990s and 2000s with steady infill since. Many homes back to the golf course or to mature wooded green space. The aesthetic is solidly traditional southern: brick fronts, two-story floor plans, side-loaded garages, real porches. Updates have been ongoing as long-time owners have refinished kitchens and primary suites.
Davidson is five minutes north for dinner or the college-town walks. Charlotte is the typical twenty-minute I-77 commute. The Skybrook trade is space and quiet over walkability — you give up the ten-minute Birkdale Village walk in exchange for double the lot.
The Golf Club
Skybrook Golf Club anchors the neighborhood with member events, a clubhouse, tennis, and pools. Many residents joined for the social calendar as much as the golf.
Larger Lots
Lot sizes here are noticeably bigger than what Huntersville's newer construction is delivering. Trees, privacy, and yards that read as actual outdoor space.
Davidson at the Doorstep
Five minutes to Davidson's downtown for dinner, coffee, or the riverside walks. Best of two towns from one driveway.

Skybrook listings tend to sit a few days longer than Birkdale because the price point is higher, which means more leverage on the buyer side. Let me know what you're targeting and I'll watch for the right opening.
