About Myers Park

Charlotte's Most Distinguished Streets

Myers Park is Charlotte's most prestigious neighborhood and one of the most architecturally distinguished addresses in the southeastern United States. Designed in 1911 by John Nolen with curving streets, generous lots, and a mature tree canopy that took a century to fully form, the neighborhood is genuinely walkable in a way that newer Charlotte enclaves can't replicate. Queens Road West is the signature street — a tree-canopied two-mile stretch that's regularly cited among the most beautiful streets in America.

Housing stock here is dominated by 1920s-1940s estates: Tudor revivals, Georgian colonials, Italianate villas, and a smaller layer of newer custom builds where lots have been redeveloped. Most homes have been thoroughly renovated. Lot sizes range from quarter-acre on the perimeter streets up to multi-acre estates around the country club and Queens Road. The Charlotte Country Club is in adjacent neighborhood Eastover but draws much of its membership from Myers Park.

Myers Park High's reputation has anchored the neighborhood premium in this corner of the city for decades. Most buyers here are established professionals, executives, multi-generational Charlotte families, and people relocating in for senior corporate roles. The commute to Uptown is fifteen minutes on a clear day.

What Makes Myers Park Special

Tree Canopy

The Nolen-era oak canopy along Queens Road West and the surrounding streets is the single most-photographed neighborhood feature in Charlotte. Spring blooms here are a city event.

Historic Architecture

1920s-1940s estate homes by Charlotte's most distinguished architects of that era. Tudor revivals, Georgian colonials, real architectural significance.

Myers Park Premium

Myers Park has anchored the southeast Charlotte premium for generations. The reputation drives steady demand and firm pricing.
