Lake Norman's Active Waterfront

The Point is the largest gated lakefront community on Lake Norman and one of the most active waterfront markets in the Carolinas. The community spans roughly 1,300 acres and includes a Trump-designed golf course, a full-service marina with deep-water slips, multiple swim and tennis facilities, and a country club calendar that anchors most of the neighborhood social life. Many homes back directly to the lake or the golf course.

Housing stock here is large by any standard. Single-family estates start in the 4,000-square-foot range and run well above 10,000 square feet on the waterfront. Lots are generous, landscaping is mature, and the streets are wide. The community has a settled, established feel — it has matured into one of the most recognizable luxury addresses in the Charlotte metro.

The Charlotte commute is forty minutes off-peak via I-77. The Point trade is space, lake access, and a country-club lifestyle in exchange for a longer commute. For most buyers this is a primary residence that's increasingly attractive as remote work has reset what 'commute' means.
